Stresses of everyday life often throw our body's energy out of balance. Reflexology works by releasing blocked energy to restore balance and strengthen energy flow.
Reflexologists use specific pressure techniques that are applied to reflex areas in the feet, that correspond to all glands, organs and structures of the body.
Treatments are individually tailored to specifically aid the body and its organs to create homeostasis - meaning the structures of the body are all working together at their best, supporting the whole person and promoting wellbeing.
It promotes self-healing, harmony and balance to all systems of the body, encourages elimination of toxins, improves circulation (both cardiovascular and lymphatic), and promotes efficient energy flow throughout the body.
Reflexology will strengthen the immune system, prevent further illness and breathe life back into your body, making you feel balanced, positive and full of energy. It is safe and suitable for all ages.
Reflexology is a complimentary therapy, working very well alongside conventional medicine, but should not replace it. If you have any health concerns, and/or are currently receiving medical treatment, please speak to your GP before booking an appointment.
I bring along all that is required, including a chair, towels, music etc. However, I am more than happy to work around any preferences you may have at home - your comfort is my priority!
I encourage comfy, loose-fitting clothes during a treatment. You will only need to remove your socks and roll up your trousers to just below your knees.
I start with a consultation in order that I can understand your current health and lifestyle. This is to ensure the treatment can be tailored to you.
Once you are settled, I start with relaxation movements following on to a full treatment, which involves the application of different techniques on your feet and lower leg area using a level of pressure that is comfortable for you. I then conclude the treatment with some final relaxation movements.
When my husband and I were looking to start a family, I was working within a highly demanding, stressful, fast-paced environment in the City of London; with very little time (if any!) to relax or focus on life outside of my work. Finding my work/life balance having an adverse effect on our future plans, I turned to Reflexology to help me find that lost equilibrium and provide time to pause.
The tempo of modern living is so fast, busy and pressured, leading to many of us experiencing ill-health, a loss of wellbeing and a generally compromised quality of life. Having realised the importance of wellbeing and how essential it is to find balance, I wanted to do something to help others to find and support these key, often missing, elements to their lives - hence my passion for Reflexology being born.
I began my journey as a therapist training at the Surrey School of Reflexology, achieving the IEB Reflexology Diploma and Anatomy and Physiology Diploma (both Level 3) with distinctions.
I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR). To find out more about the association, please click here to view their website.
I live in Tadworth, Surrey with my husband, son and 2 fur babies. I love all things art, cooking, growing veggies (sometimes successfully!) and lazy Sundays with my boys.
